A weighted Paediatric Readiness Score (wPRS) was derived from the National Paediatric Readiness Project (NPRP) assessment which was completed in the USA in 2013. The NPRP assessment was a national 55-question assessment of emergency departments (EDs) providng 24-hour emergency care and was based on national guidelines.
