He developed multisystem disease including deafness and nephrotic syndrome, and died aged 3 months. Carbohydrate deficient glycoprotein syndrome (CDGS) was diagnosed post-mortem. CDGS should be considered in all infants with apparently unrelated multiple clinical or biochemical abnormalities.
