The only disease associated with JC virus to date is progressive multifocal leucoencephalopathy (PML), which is usually caused by viral reactivation in immunocompromised adults. A chronic meningoencephalitis associated with an active JC virus infection in an immunocompetent 13 year old girl is described. ER -
