When the thrombosis was diagnosed, antiphospholipid antibodies detected either as lupus anticoagulant and anticardiolipin antibodies were found. This suggests that short term prophylatic antithrombotic treatment should be considered in antiphospholipid antibody positive JCA patients who require immobilisation after fractures of demineralised bones.
