AB A hand-held electrically operated instrument has been devised to assess visual acuity by means of the phenomenon of opto-kinetic fixation nystagmus. An accurate determination of visual acuity has been obtained from an early age, and a graph of the normal visual acuity development produced. It has been confirmed that adult acuity is reached by 3 years of age.
