Influenza immunisation in pregnancy

Immunisation of pregnant mothers with inactivated trivalent influenza vaccine is recommended by the World Health Organization and by US authorities. In the USA immunisation of children aged 6–23 months is also recommended. Maternal influenza immunisation, however, is not often provided.
