I would like to highlight some merits and demerits of the study other than those already brought out.
Merits - Provides evidence about a favorable outcome of hypoglycemia in LGA newborns.
Based on this study, one needs to reveiw hospital policies of routine testing of blood glucose in asymptomatic LGA newborns.

We interpret the findings of the interesting, and accurate study by Brand et al [1] regarding hypoglycaemia in LGA neonates in a different way. As all neonates in their study with hypoglycaemia were treated with either intravenous or oral glucose, and all but 3 neonates received formula feeding in addition to breast milk, one cannot conclude from this study that no treatment is needed and even...
