Dear Editor
I read with interest the article by S. Mordekar and N Chalhoub.[1] As a flexible trainee aiming to gain subspecialty recognition for community child health, I was able to organise a 1 year placement in child psychiatry at St George's, Tooting. This was only possible because my funding came from a central 'pot' and thus could be used outside of paediatrics per se.
It seems that it is not so...
