Long term outcomes of infants with colic

Colic and sleeping difficulties in infants challenge parents, grandparents and those healthcare workers supporting the family. Between 10% and 35% of parents report problems with their infant’s sleep and colic (classically defined as crying duration exceeding 3 hours out of 24 hours for at least 3 days of at least 3 weeks) can occur between 17% and 25% of infants. Managing an infant with colic can be exhausting with no easy treatment to ‘manage’ it. What are the long-term outcomes for infants who have had colic?
