A girl aged 3 years with leucocyte adhesion deficiency type I presented with a 1 day history of pain and drainage in her right ear. On examination, tender erythema was observed in the right postauricular region. The right eardrum was not visible as the canal was obstructed by granulation tissue. Blood tests on admission showed marked leucocytosis (42×103/mL). Erythrocyte sedimentation rate of 1 hour and 2 hours were 109 and 132 mm, respectively.
