The management of bronchiolitis should be quite simple; focus on adequate oxygenation and feeding while following the trajectory of the illness and expected natural progression of symptoms. International evidence based guidelines have evolved over the years as the evidence has become more apparent. There is little evidence for pharmacotherapy in simple bronchiolitis and most clinical guidelines advise against pharmacotherapy. There continues to be overuse of treatment.
