A 1-year-old toddler was admitted with a 12-hour history of repeated vomiting. He had not passed stools for the past 3 days, or flatus in the last 24 hours. Physical examination showed abdominal distention without pain or guarding. An abdominal X-ray showed multiple air fluid levels with a distended small bowel (figure 1).
