The well-being of children in Moria refugee camp is an international child health crisis, causing outrage and despair in those of us that have witnessed this first-hand. Around 3000 children live in the Greek camp that the North Aegean public health inspectors have deemed ‘dangerous for public health and the environment’.1
The words of poet Warsan Shire, ‘No one puts their children in a boat unless the water is safer than the land’, struck an international chord when the refugee crisis reached its peak in 2016.
