Ecchymotic angioedema in paediatric systemic lupus erythematosus

A 14-year-old girl, with systemic lupus erythematosus, with positive antinuclear antibodies (ANA) and anti-DNA, low C3 (60 mg/dL, normal value 90–177 mg/dL) and C4 (5.5 mg/dL, normal value 15–45 mg/dL), presented with a malar rash, knee arthritis and urticarial skin lesions, compatible with an urticarial vasculitis.
