KIE: Key cases from Great Britain, Canada, the United States, and Australia are discussed in reference to when and to what degree the court may intervene in cases involving the nontherapeutic sterilization of mentally handicapped women. Also addressed are risk of inappropriate intrusion on reproductive decisions, the changing positions of the courts, and parental and professional responsibility.
