WHO clinical case definition for paediatric AIDS

  • Paediatric AIDS is suspected in an infant or child presenting with at least two major signs associated with at least two minor signs in the absence of known causes of immunosuppression.

  • 2-150 Generalised lymphadenopathy = lymph nodes measuring at least 0.5 cm and present in two or more sites, with bilateral lymph nodes counting as one site.
