Intubations are commonly performed in neonatal units but record keeping is often poor. Proper documentation of procedures is important, not only as a legal record, but to provide information for subsequent team members. This is especially relevant in intubations where, for example, the ease of passing the tube, the grade view and the size used could influence subsequent procedures.
