We thank Bustreo, Okwo-Bele, and Kamara for a comprehensive overview of the impressive achievements by the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization on reducing child mortality world wide by providing vaccines[1]. With regard to measles vaccine, the authors note that child mortality in Niger was almost halved from 1998 to 2009, and measles vaccination contributed to this achievement.
