Dear Editor:

Dargan et al state that the girl with lead poisoning "was not given DMSA (meso-2,3 dimercaptopropanesulphonate)..."

DMSA is dimercaptosuccinic acid. The antidote they refer to is usually abbreviated to DMPS.
