Abstract
Some schools implement peanut-free guidelines (PFG), requesting omission of peanut from lunches. Comparing lunch peanut contents in randomly selected classrooms, 5/861 lunches contained peanut in classes with PFG (0.6%, 95% CI [0.2%, 1.4%]) and 84/845 lunches contained peanut in classes without PFG (9.9%, [8.0%, 12.2%]): a 9.4% (7.3%, 11.4%) difference.
Keywords: adherence, peanut allergy, peanut-free lunch guidelines, school policy
