Mechanisms of ischaemic stroke after chickenpox

Ischaemic stroke is a recognised complication of chickenpox.
Seven cases of ischaemic stroke in children after recent varicella infection are discussed in detail to emphasise that there are several
mechanisms by which this may arise.
